Verified integrity of game files through Steam I appreciate that it is likely the mod itself, but the modding community has been of little help and it is now getting very frustrating given that less than 1% of users seem this get this problem. 90% of the time, this happens during loading into a big battle or out of a big battle, but then 10% of the time it happens if I leave the game idle on the campaign screen. Now with my new system, I am guaranteed to get a crash to desktop with the exact error: "VirtualAlloc (at place 2) returned NULL!". I used to play this all the time with my old battered system with no issues whatsoever. I have recently bought a new gaming PC, and was excited to play one of my favourite games: Total War: Rome 2, which I play with a specific overhaul mod called Divide et Impera.
